Introducing "Rescued", a hand painted Red Fox in Walnut Oil Paint.
The original is on a 12"x12" stretched canvas.
This is more than just a painting. The stars (well, really missions, purposes, and commitments) aligned, and there's so much you don't see. This painting embodies all of my work and passion towards conservation efforts.
Let me explain...
The fox in the painting is Juniper Fox of Juniper Fox Rescue. Juniper looks safe, warm, and happy which is the opposite of many hurt wild animals. Which brings me to why I painted the fox, the Endangered Wolf Center had Wolf Fest 2026 this fall. Their dedication to saving wolves and canids through breeding, reintroduction, and education is inspiring. They were founded by the same Merlin Perkins whose award I received for my efforts with my art for conservation through the World Bird Sanctuary (who also tend to show up at Wolf Fest).
And finally, Natural Earth Paint has paired up with me for this collection. Their pigments, paints, and solvents are all natural, non-toxic, and eco-friendly.
So, you see...more than just a painting. More of a pinnacle of sorts, that looks like a fox. But really is the story of rescues saving hurt, scared, endangered wild animals with a passion, through conservation.
My Passion for Sustainability: At the heart of this collection lies a dedication to sustainable artistry. I believe that nature not only inspires us but is also in need of our protection. By utilizing non-toxic paints and solvents, I hope to demonstrate my deep respect for the environment and a commitment to reducing waste. Each piece in my "Wolf Fest Collection" embodies the essence of conservation.
